Founder of Just Arabic

Shaykh Yoosuf Zaman began his formal Islamic education at Darul Uloom Birmingham, one of the United Kingdom's leading traditional Islamic seminaries. In 2010, he graduated as an Alim, having completed a rigorous curriculum that included classical Arabic syntax (Nahw) and morphology (Sarf), Qur'anic exegesis (Tafsir), Hadith sciences, Islamic jurisprudence (Fiqh), and other foundational Islamic disciplines. Following his graduation, he travelled to Egypt to pursue advanced Islamic and Arabic studies.

With over fifteen years of teaching experience, Shaykh Yoosuf Zaman has instructed students across all levels; from complete beginners to advanced learners. His approach is methodical, clear, and structured, focusing on breaking down complex grammatical concepts into logical, manageable steps.

Beyond his teaching, he is an accomplished orator who delivers motivational Islamic lectures with a particular focus on Muslim youth, addressing contemporary challenges, spiritual development, and the importance of connecting with Islamic heritage through the Arabic language. He is also actively involved in grassroots projects, working directly within local communities to support educational, social, and religious initiatives that benefit young Muslims and their families.

Shaykh Yoosuf is a dedicated allied healthcare professional whose experience has sharpened his systematic problem-solving abilities, patience, and empathetic approach to addressing individual learner needs. His clinical background enriches his teaching at Just Arabic, where he seamlessly integrates analytical thinking and person-centered care into language education.

In addition to this, he is also the co-founder of Al-Ilm Martial Arts, where he teaches kickboxing to students of all ages. This role has equipped him with valuable skills in discipline, progress tracking, and motivational coaching, which he skillfully incorporates into his Arabic courses.

Beyond teaching Arabic and coaching kickboxing, he also helps run a few initiatives. He plays an instrumental role at Halal Mortgage Broker, promoting Sharia-compliant financial solutions, and co-founded Nikah Directors, an initiative dedicated to supporting Islamic marriages with integrity and proper guidance.

Shaykh Yoosuf established Just Arabic to fill a significant gap in the market: many Arabic courses tend to be overly academic, culturally disconnected, or not tailored for beginners. His vision is to create a professional, accessible, and spiritually enriching online academy that emphasises mastery through understanding.
