Shaykh Yoosuf Zaman founded Just Arabic with a clear vision: to make learning Arabic accessible, structured, and spiritually enriching for everyone. His journey began at Darul Uloom Birmingham, one of the UK's leading Islamic seminaries, where he graduated as an Alim in 2010. During his studies, he immersed himself in the classical Islamic sciences, developing a strong foundation in Arabic grammar and morphology, Qur'anic exegesis, Hadith sciences, and Islamic jurisprudence.

Driven by a desire to deepen his understanding of the Arabic language, Shaykh Yoosuf later travelled to Egypt, where he explored the language in its cultural and literary environment and further refined his command of classical and contemporary Arabic.

With more than fifteen years of teaching experience, Shaykh Yoosuf has developed an approach that transforms Arabic from something intimidating into something inspiring. He breaks complex grammatical concepts into clear, manageable steps, helping students understand why the language works rather than simply memorising rules. Whether introducing beginners to their first Arabic words or guiding advanced students through the depth and beauty of Qur'anic verses, his aim remains the same: to develop genuine understanding, confidence, and lasting mastery.

This philosophy became the foundation of Just Arabic.

Shaykh Yoosuf recognised a significant gap in the way Arabic was often taught. Many courses were highly academic, disconnected from the learner's cultural and spiritual experience, or difficult for complete beginners to navigate. He wanted to create something different: a professional yet welcoming learning environment where students could develop their Arabic while building a meaningful connection with the language of the Qur'an and the wider Islamic tradition.

Every Just Arabic course is thoughtfully designed with the learner in mind. Lessons are structured to build progressively, feedback is personal and purposeful, and every stage of the learning journey is designed to strengthen both ability and confidence. With patience, clarity, and a genuinely student-centered approach, Shaykh Yoosuf meets learners where they are and helps them progress towards where they want to be.

His experience extends well beyond the classroom. As a martial arts coach at Al-Ilm Martial Arts, he understands the importance of discipline, consistency, resilience, and steady progress; principles he brings naturally into his teaching. As a passionate orator, he regularly engages and inspires Muslim youth on questions of spiritual growth, identity, and the challenges of modern life. At the heart of this work is his belief that Arabic is far more than a language to be studied: it is a living bridge to the Qur'an, Islamic scholarship, and a rich spiritual heritage.

Beyond Just Arabic, Shaykh Yoosuf dedicates his time and strategic expertise to a range of community-focused initiatives, including Nikah Directors and Halal Mortgage Broker. He also mentors entrepreneurs, helping them build meaningful, sustainable businesses that create lasting value for their communities.
